Community Presbyterian Church is always in need of volunteers in a variety of areas. Serving the church and the community is one of the key ways we grow in our discipleship and ability to follow Jesus. Whether you want to help those less fortunate locally or internationally, teach our children and youth, work behind the scenes to help maintain our property, fix the coffee one Sunday morning, or straighten up the pew racks, we’ve got a job for you!

Community Presbyterian Church has an immediate need for volunteers to help with several of our mission projects. Most of these opportunities require only a small amount of your time and offer great reward.

  • Vacation Bible School Volunteer

  • Mission House – Preparing and serving dinner on the 2nd Thursday of each month for homeless clients living in the beaches area. Contact Rev. Jessi Higginbotham.

  • Cold Night Shelter – Working a 2 hour shift when our church hosts Cold Night Shelter, an emergency shelter for the homeless in the beaches area on especially cold nights. (1-2 nights a YEAR!) Contact Rev. Jessi Higginbotham.

  • Family Promise – Preparing Dinner for overnight guests (1 meal per week, 1-3 weeks per year) or staying overnight with guests (1 night, 1-3 weeks per year). Contact Maria Goodman.

  • Habitat for Humanity – Helping rebuild homes in the Atlantic Beach area, we build the second Saturday of every month. Contact Eric Wild.

We also have many on-going Mission Opportunities for volunteers of all ages!

  • CPC on-site work items that could use your talents. Helping CPC in this way is a great way to give back to your fellow parishioner, keep CPC costs down and keep the CPC campus an inviting place to worship. If you find an item that you are interested in, complete the job and report that it is done to the ticket “Reporter.”

  • Teach or Assist in children’s Sunday school or the Children’s Mission Workshop.
