Mission House

Mission House was a dream of Beaches churches for many years. In 1997, the present site on Shetter Avenue in Jacksonville Beach was purchased. It then became ‘the only day facility to help meet the needs of homeless adults at the Beaches’. A medical facility, staffed two days per week by volunteers, was opened in 1998.

Since that time, Mission House has strived to determine and meet the individual needs of its clients. These needs are as wide-ranging as the clients who visit the facility daily. During an average month, Mission House:

  • serves 2000 client meals;

  • begins case management for 25 new clients;

  • provides 215 case management visits;

  • aids with 7 new jobs;

  • helps secure 10 new homes, and;

  • provides free medical care to 175 patients!

Mission House’s goal is ‘to assist homeless people back to productive and self-sufficient lives’.  There are many ways that members at CPC can help with this goal. Our church gives money to Mission House annually and multiple people are involved in the day-to-day work of the center.
